If you
have not received our "Outreach Guidelines", (tidbits and answers to
questions that may arise when you are serving) please inform me and I
will email you a copy. Please feel free to ask any questions or
concerns. The website is in the process of being updated, but please
visit it and give the address to others.
We are in need of
men/women jeans, tee shirts, men underwear/briefs, and
deodorant. If you have/know a church group, cell group,
organization, club, networking group, etc, who would like to get
involved with helping with small projects, please informed them
of our work and our needs. There are already a couple of groups
involved in donating some needed items, but let's get others
involved also.
There are many needs in
our community. A Social Worker from one of our area
schools referred a mother to me this week with four boys ages
ranging from 10 - 17 years who needed food, clothes, toiletries
and other items. She escaped years of an abusive situation only
to be diagnosed with cancer in different parts of her body
and is not able to work anymore. I was able to give her 193 lbs.
of food and toiletries (approx. 15 bags). She has applied for
food stamps and Medicaid, and should start receiving them in
about 45 days, but the Ministry was able to help in this present
need. I will also refer her to other Organizations in the
community so we can bridge a gap for the family until other help
come into play. We are helping with many needs in the community,
and because of your help, the Ministry is able to make a dent in
this gigantic problem. A Newsletter will be started soon to keep
everyone informed as what is going on in the Ministry. If you
would like to help in this area, please email me.
